By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (or authentication token, if you sign in with Google). We also store your account role — job seeker or employer.

Job seeker information

• Your resume file and any information extracted from it
• Profile details such as your headline and photo, if you add one
• Job preferences you set, including desired role, salary range, location, work style, required benefits, job type, and preferred industries
• Your activity on the Service, such as jobs you apply to or skip

Employer information

• Company name, description, website, phone number, business email, and business address
• Verification status and any documentation or details submitted for business verification
• Job postings you create, including title, description, requirements, benefits, salary, and location
• Information about candidates who apply to your postings, to the extent needed to operate the Service

Automatically collected information

We may automatically collect limited technical information such as browser type, device information, IP address, and general usage patterns to help us operate, secure, and improve the Service.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your account
• Match job seekers with relevant job postings based on stated preferences and resume content
• Allow employers to post jobs, review applicants, and manage their hiring pipeline
• Verify employer identity and business legitimacy before allowing job postings to go live
• Send account-related communications, such as verification emails and application updates
• Maintain the security and integrity of the Service, including detecting fraudulent or abusive activity
• Improve and develop new features

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. AI-powered features

Alygnn uses artificial intelligence, including third-party AI models, to support certain features, such as:

• Parsing and interpreting resume content to help match job seekers with relevant postings
• Generating draft job descriptions for employers based on details they provide
• Reviewing custom requirement or benefit entries employers add to a job posting, to help ensure listings are meaningful and free of spam

Content processed by these features is sent to our AI service provider solely to generate the requested output and is not used by that provider to train models for other customers. Employers are responsible for reviewing and editing any AI-assisted content before publishing a job posting.

5. How information is shared

We share information in the following circumstances:

• With employers: if you are a job seeker and apply to a job, the employer who posted that job can see the application details and resume information you choose to submit.
• With service providers: we share information with vendors who help us operate the Service, as described in the "Third-party service providers" section below.
• For legal reasons: we may disclose information if required to do so by law, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, investigate fraud, or ensure the safety of our users.
• In a business transfer: if Alygnn is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. Third-party service providers

We rely on the following categories of third-party providers to operate the Service:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage (including resumes)
• Google — sign-in with Google, and location autocomplete for job postings
• Anthropic — AI-powered resume parsing, job description generation, and content moderation features
• Email delivery providers — for account verification and transactional emails

Each of these providers processes data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) that are necessary to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

8. Data retention and deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us using the details below. Some information may be retained where required for legal, security, or legitimate business purposes.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly from your account settings. For anything else, contact us using the details below and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.

11. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for users who are at least 18 years old, or who otherwise meet the legal working age in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

12. International users

Alygnn is based in the United States and currently focused on the U.S. job market. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be processed and stored in the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
